Conner and Josh both have March birthdays. This year we gave them the option of having a party here or taking one friend bowling. They both chose to go bowling. Conner took Brooke and Josh took Clayton. They had a blast. We took them to Pizza Hut first then bowling.
After the first few frames Riley decided he did not need help carrying the ball or getting it down the lane.
Brooke was the only one of the kids to get a strike. She just might have a future in bowling?
Conner liked to slide on his knees and release the ball at the same time.
Clayton was a pretty good bowler. He almost won the game.
Josh tried every different style of bowling he could think off except granny style. He even used a pink ball.
It was a great way to celebrate their birthdays and a lot easier than having parties at home. I think we will do it again next year. But next year we hope not to get stuck next to some extra intense bowlers. I think they were a little disturbed by some of the bowling styles the kids have.

Looks like fun! We tired to take one of our kids bowling one year & they had something going on there, so it never happened!
I love it! What a great idea for a birthday. I'm going to have to remember this one. I am all about easy, simple, and small.
We live really close to bowling and the kids even had a free pass for summer bowling last year, but we never made it. Looks like the kids are old enough to have fun with bowling. We'll have to take the kids this summer. Good idea.
